About Us
The Story of a Calibration Laboratory
Our calibration laboratory in Říčany has been providing services since the second half of the 90s, when it was founded by the company MEDESA s.r.o. Since 2009, it has been accredited by the Czech Institute for Accreditation, according to the standard for calibration and testing laboratories ČSN EN ISO/IEC 17025. A year later, it started using balances with a resolution of 0.001 mg, designed for calibrating pipettes of the smallest volumes below 10 μl.
In 2018, the laboratory was taken over by Eppendorf Czech & Slovakia s.r.o., and further modernization took place. Balances for calibrating multichannel pipettes, capable of measuring up to 12 channels simultaneously, became a helpful tool.
Starting with 2024, we have agreed with Eppendorf Czech & Slovakia s.r.o. to smoothly continue the existing operation under the brand EUCAL s.r.o.
For you, our customers, nothing changes, however. You will call the same phone number +420 725 115 454 - to Veronika, and you will find the laboratory at the same address, Voděradská 2552/16 in Říčany. Under the new brand, we only have new email addresses and a website, where we are now happy to welcome you.

About the laboratory's accreditation
The calibration laboratory is accredited by the Czech Institute for Accreditation, according to the requirements of the standard ČSN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 (hereinafter referred to as AKL).
The subject of the accreditation scope is volume - Calibration of piston-operated volumetric apparatus, specifically:
- Mechanical piston pipettes
- Electronic piston pipettes
- Dispensers
- Burettes
During calibration, gravimetric comparison with a standard is used, utilizing distilled water as the medium, according to an internal calibration procedure created in line with the requirements of the standard ČSN EN ISO 8655-6 and the document EURAMET cg−19. The laboratory provides a statement of conformity for the calibration results, according to the document ILAC-G8, using the limit values specified in the relevant standards for the calibrated measuring instrument (ISO 8655-x series) or with respect to the values provided by the customer.

For the unambiguous use of the accreditation reference in the form of a textual reference and the combined accreditation mark, the following binding rules for customers are established:
- Without the laboratory's written consent, the calibration certificate may not be used or reproduced by the customer in any way other than in its entirety
- The resulting values stated in the calibration certificate apply only to the specified measuring instrument
- Customer materials, customer price lists, and the customer's website presentation may, with the laboratory's consent, contain a reference to the calibration service provided by the laboratory only with a reference to the laboratory's accreditation, in textual form, in conjunction with the trade name and name of the laboratory according to the certificate of accreditation
- The combined ILAC mark assigned to the calibration laboratory must not be used by the customer
The laboratory declares confidentiality and its responsibility for the management of all information obtained or created during the performance of calibration and related activities, through legally enforceable commitments.
Please send your feedback regarding satisfaction/dissatisfaction, potential suggestions for improving the services provided, comments, and complaints to kalibrace@eucal.cz. The procedure for any complaints is described in the complaints policy.
We are happy to get to know you
In our laboratory, we rely on a personal approach and long-term relationships with our customers

Veronika Jirsová
In 2011, I started working in the pipette calibration laboratory operated by MEDESA s.r.o., after the factory where I originally worked as a chemist-technologist was shut down by the foreign owner. I was grateful for the offered job because I don't like to sit at home and cry over spilled milk, but mainly because the offer came immediately after I lost my job. I initially thought it would be a temporary engagement, but I found that I actually enjoy contact with customers, helping to find various solutions, and not least the work itself with pipettes, dispensers, burettes, and everything else related to liquid dispensing. I have thus found complete satisfaction in the job, which I have been doing continuously ever since. I feel joy and satisfaction especially now that the laboratory has become our third child in the family.
